LMS Item Description

How can I edit and Item's Description in LMS once it's been saved?

I always click on the little globe icon next to the description field and it'll let me update. The icon says "Translate" when you hover over it. It's always been confusing because the screen makes it look like it's greyed out and can't be edited. If that doesn't work, maybe it's a security permission?

I am having the same problem, having made the ill advised step of noting the date of last update in the course description. However the little globe trick didn't work as it was saying that a location hadn't been set? I've been searching for a solution for this for days, I can't believe I'm the only one with this issue.

One solution I found was to edit the HTML code in the LMS System configuration, changing false to true in the statement "This configuration is used to enable HTML descriptions. Default: false", but that didn't fix it.

Would welcome any suggestions ??

KBA link is not working anymore, is there any updated links to this question? We are looking at modifying the item description and can't find a way to do so.

I use the little 'globe' function as well. Basically i 'translate' the description into English, making edits along the way. I don't know about the "Location" though - i think that would be under the Global settings somewhere.
