Hi Experts,
In Recruiter dashboard we are facing a concern that requisition search & candidate search for data created beyond a particular date is not working.
We checked with Basis and as per them TREX is working fine so I suppose there is some background job that is not working.
Could you help me with background jobs that are responsible for search engines in SAP E Rec.

Puneet

Hi Puneet,
There are no background jobs. If the candidate profile is released and they are not deregistered they will be shown in the search.

Hi,
of course the periodical services have to be planned as a job for getting stuff indexed in the TREX (program rcf_periodical_services). If this job is not running properly new data cannot be found in the searches. As the job has a restriction which prevents any processing in case of a parallel job, so checking the job log might not be sufficient to get to know if the programm did what it was supposed to do. Here some debugging is required.
Another common issue is a space restriction in the TREX. There used to be the issue that if the TREX dropped below approx. 2 GB free disk space it stopped to index new data while it was still returning results with all the old data for searches. I am not aware that sap would have changed this or added a big red warning to inform the admins.
Kind Regards
Roman
