I have an issue with leave quota generation for part-time employees in SAP.
For example:
• Employee 1 works 3 days per week (part-time, 25 hours/week).
• In Infotype 0007, the work schedule is correctly set to part-time (3 days/week).
• In Infotype 0008, the employment percentage is 78%.
• In T559L, “Reduction by inactive days” is active.
However, when generating leave quotas (e.g., 6 weeks = 30 days for full-time), the part-time employee also gets the full 30 days instead of the reduced 18 days.
At the same time, for employees with other part-time schedules (e.g., 4 days/week), the reduction works correctly, and the quota is calculated as expected.
I compared both models (3-day and 4-day workweeks), and the only difference is the employee group (e.g., worker vs. Consulting).
What could be causing the full quota to generate for the 3-day workweek?
Is there something I need to adjust in the work schedule, employee settings, or quota generation?
Request clarification before answering.
Since you mentioned the setting “Reduction by inactive days”, I just want to point out that not being schedule to work is not the same as being inactive. As Shirinhcm pointed out, you can use the reduction rules, but you would need to select the appropriate option for the scheduled days.
If the reduction rules do not work for you as some customers have a more complex calculation, you can also try pro-rating via the time schema.
If you are setting your accrual value in time evaluation, then you could just add the pro-ration.
If your accruals are set in the base entitlement, you could still use the Multiplication with a time balance option on the Accrual Entitlement tab of V_T559L.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Cindy
