Dear All,

We have following issue:

learners cannot see help tiles in sap companion, only those people who also have edit rights can see the help tiles.

The edit pen is also visible for the users with the role learners.

you can't see the parameter "editor=true" in the URL. Therefore i can't take it away. Currently the connection is from Enable now to the Q system.

System:

SEN cloud, S4H en prem 2021 latest

in the Console shows:

dataURLWPb2: "https://customer.enable.now.cloud.sap/wa/myworkarea

servicelayer "EXT"

2 errors appear: "

1- "Failor to loard resource: "/sap/opu/odata/IWPGW...7&sap-language=EN:1 the server responded with a status of 403

2 -WebSocket connection to "wss://ang01.customer. core-ext-light-2.js:6com/sap/bc/apc/iwngw/notification push apc"

failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: unexpacted response code:200

W._openConnection@core-ext-light-2.js:6

SAP Basis has enabled the web service "apc (Abap push channel framework" in transaction SICF - with a double click- What else should be done?

SAP Basis tells me that no WEB dispatcher is used.

According to the instructions, a web dispatcher is always required for Companion in the Fiori environment - or have I misinterpreted the instructions?

The role learners was not changed, it has the default view. Do I need to assign another role to see the SAP Companion help tiles to the user?

Thanks a lot

Beatrix

Hi Beatrix,

There are two ways to configure SAP Companion for S/4HANA - one uses a Web Dispatcher and the other does not. The simplest way to configure SAP Companion for S/4HANA On Premise is without the Web Dispatcher - refer to the section Configuration for SAP S/4HANA 2020 and Higher in the SAP Companion Integration Guide for the approach without the Web Dispatcher. You will likely have to be logged into help.sap.com to get the guide.

If you have used the Web Dispatcher approach to configure SAP Companion, you do assign a Fiori Role to users to allow them to access the SAP Companion functionality. Refer to the instructions in the Configuration for SAP S/4HANA 1909 and Lower section of the SAP Companion Integration Guide for full instructions, including details of the Role that users must have to access SAP Companion.

If you are still getting errors and unable to get SAP Companion to appear, please raise a ticket with the Companion ID KM-SEN-CMP so that someone can be assigned to take a detailed look at your setup.

Regards
Shane
