Thanks

Hi David,

Anton is correct that SAC does not currently support SAP Companion, however, I understand that the work to integrate it has substantially been completed. I think SAC has a quarterly release cycle so it's possible that the SAP Companion integration will be there in the next release, due August this year, I think.

Hi Shane, may I know if the only way to integrate SAP Companion with SAC is through a script as mentioned by Anton above? Thank you! 🙂

There's a link right here on the home page of this Community:

Hi Dirk, I am sure it will be obvious when you show me but I can't see where the 'Useful Links' are on the homepage?

Thanks

LOL. On the Topic Resources tab (that's the tab that isn't the Community Content tab, which is the one with these questions on it), in the rightmost column, 3rd section down.

I don't think the PAM will answer your specific questions about SAC though, as I don't believe that is officially supported / carved out yet. It IS possible to integrate SAC with SAP Companion, but I think the integration is covered under BTP / "SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Similar Systems" in the Integration Guide).

I did SAP Companion integration with SAC with a script and the SAP Companion extension as the SAC doesn't support natively our in-app help tool.

The place to watch is here - Further Products | SAP Help Portal - I believe it is called "SAP Predictive Analytics" in this list. They keep this list for all products fairly current. A checkmark in the Extensibility column means you can add or edit content in SAP Companion. No checkmark in the Extensibility column = generic SAP content only, no adding or editing content in SAP Companion.

Hi Natalie,

The Enable Now product team has confirmed that there will be no Extended mode for SAC at this time, only the delivery of standard content. I thought that the integration, including Extended mode so that you could develop and deliver your own content, had been completed but it has not. SAP Companion is automatically turned and displays the standard content.

Sorry for the confusion, Extended mode will come, but not at this time.

Shane

Hi Natalie,

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I think we are currently waiting for the new release of SAC to occur, before being able to use SAP Companion with SAC. The post that Bart provided does indeed say that this will be possible this year - I think that there is a new release of SAC expected this coming weekend - so I'm hoping that it will soon be possible to turn on SAP Companion in SAC. I've asked the product team for clarification so will let you know more when I get some definitive information.

Shane

Natalie: No; as of the last release of SAP Enable Now, you can integrate SAC using a script (same method as for Ariba, Concur...). However, that currently only supports standard help content. Extended mode is rumored to be coming in the next release of SAP Enable Now (but currently can be achieved through Anton's method).

Hi Natalie,

The SAP Companion integration into SAC has occurred and I understand that we are now just waiting for the next release of SAC to go into Production to be able to use that integration. I think that there is an upgrade planned for later this month so the functionality could be available any day now. I would keep an eye on the SAP Companion Integration Guide and SAP Companion Supported Applications document.

Shane

Hi Shane, thank you for the information above. May I know where can I find more information on SAP Companion Integration on SAC using the script (the old method). I checked the link you provided - SAP Companion Integration Guide but I can't find information on SAC. Thanks.
