Job Requisition Approval Reminders

We are trying to set up reminders when users have not completed a job req approval. Ideally, we would like to have a reminder sent to any approver who has had the task for 48 hours and not completed. We have found guidance to use the Manage Form Templates to set up a notification due date, but found that this will only work once and on a specific date in relation to the form creation date. We have several approvers in the workflow, so this solution is not very helpful to the need. 

Are there any alternatives that would base the reminder on how long the task has been with a user, and would potentially work for multiple approvers on the same job?
