Job Information: FTE field use

Hi everyone,

Our client has the requirement to use the FTE field associated not to the position or standard weekly hours but to the user itself. The idea is to keep the field open as a string.

Would you recommend to use the standard FTE field from Job Information or a custom one?

In this note (https://me.sap.com/notes/0002498292) there is a warning to avoid using a custom field for that, but I was not sure.

Hi,

You can use the field linked to the user and not the position. It doesn't have to be linked to the position.

The only thing to consider is that in the org chart you will see the FTE for the position and the one of the employee.

We had situations where we had to create custom FTEs on the employee (had 2 different FTEs, position and real)
