I and my team are facing Connection Error issue while Finish Editing the book after exporting word compound doc. We tried the following methods but it is not working:
1. Refresh parent folder
2. Generate compound doc without making any changes/saving
The pdf format is working fine. The issue is just with word doc. Any help please?

Hi Mayuri,
OK, I understand the issue. You have changed the Server Timeout setting in Manager but you need to add 4 entries to your Registry, as described in the link that Dirk sent through right at the beginning. You need to:
1. Open the Registry on your computer (type regedit into Windows search field near the Windows Start button)
2. Locate and select the section of the Registry located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
3. Create 4 new entries called - ConnectTimeOut SendTimeOut ReceiveTimeOut KeepAliveTimeOut

4. Make sure that each Registry entry is a DWORD entry and each has the following settings

5. Close the Registry and restart your PC.

Hi Mayuri,
Can you please show me a screenshot of the entry that is causing the error. I suspect that something is wrong with the entry.

Hi Mayuri,
The SAP Note that Dirk mentions above will typically resolve the issue with sychronisation timeout. You may need to set the values larger than 120000, e.g. 480000, and don't forget to restart your PC after changing the Registry so that they system reads the new values.

Shane

It must be a large file; it looks like it is just timing out (taking too long to transfer). Change the Timeout of server request (s) setting in Manager. Double it and see if that helps. If not, double it again.

See SAP Note 2390539. That has details of some browser-related timings you can change (Producer may not look like the browser, but it's using the browser framework, so these settings still apply.)
