Hi,

I have a query wherein we are supposed to create a role which is given for executive. Here, i am supposed to give access for running a story report wherein the data comes from Job Information and custom MDF. I have provided the history data view for custom MDF but not for Job information. When i run the report from the designated user, data is not appearing. However, if Job information history access is provided, report is showing the data. Question is, is it necessary to provide job information history data access for running the story report? If not, what other permission is necessary for making this report run successfully? All the MDF permission(s) and other required permission for viewing is provided.

Kindly help with this query.

Hi @Nagavalli_BN ,

In Story reporting type Job information actions/Personal information actions (View Current and View History permission) both are mandatory.

For Employee Central data, users must have permission for the portlets as well (e.g. employmentInfo fields requires permission for 'Job Information Actions' (View Current and View History) or 'Employment Details MSS' and for personalInfo / personInfo it is also required the 'Personal Information Actions' (View Current and View History)).
