Hello community,
I have a request from the client asking if it is possible not to generate a certificate completion, is that possible? There is no default certificate configured and yet it still generates the certificate.
Has anyone had the same or similar request?
Thanks in advance
Roger

Hi Roger,
thank you for your follow-up question. It is not possible to disable the certificate for specific items, but you could attach a dummy certificate to the item. The dummy certificate could be only a blank page or include some text outlining that the item doesn't provide a learning certificate.
If the "Certificate Template" box is not available at the Item Details page, you can add the box: System Administration > Configuration > Entity Configuration > Item > "Certificate Template" > Tick "Display" > Save.
I hope the information is helpful

Hi Roger,
If you don't want to allow the users to generate learning certificates you need to remove the "Run User Certificate of Completion History Record Report" permission from the user role (See screenshot below).
By removing the permission, the print certificate button will disappear from the learning history portlet and no certificates are getting generated.

Thanks in advance
