Interruption during Recording

Hello everyone,

I also have a question:

During recording with the SAP Producer (2011), I sometimes experience, that after performing an action, EnableNow starts synchronizing elements with the manager (ressources). This synchronizing is put into the foreground, interrupting the recording for one or two seconds before the window, which I am recording will be displayed again.

This disrupts the recording flow, and confuses some users. Can I solve this in any way?

Hi Leo,

yes I have also seen this in the past. And in this case I recommend to do the following:

-As a onetime action and like Jesse mentioned, please run “Synchronize Workarea” in your Producer

-After you create a new project, I also recommend to save this first to the Server – so we will hopefully suppress the sync while the recording

I discussed your case also with Product Management and they think that the internet speed should not be influencing what happen while the recording, everything should happen locally but maybe there is a bug. They also thinking in the direction of the "Autosave" option. ( Settings/Producer/Directories/) Maybe you can test if this deactivation of this setting will influence the behavior.

In any case it would be good if you send us an official incident note with the component KM-WPB-PRO. Its important that we analyze such cases as best as possible - please let us also know if the Autosave option make a difference.

I have seen this happen a few times this week. What we noticed was some slow internet speeds causing some issues. What I would have your authors do before they record is to Synchronize there workarea before they start recording.

Also another possible reason is if a master author is making changes to resources and forcing new version you will get a message to restart the producer if resources are changing.
