Internal candidate Job status not getting updated

Hi Experts,

Internal candidate checkes for the status of his applicaiton for the jobs that he has applied for (ESS-Career & job-Employee opportunities-My Application ) and the status shows "In Process"

but when the HR administrator checks his status (Candidate profile- Assignments) the status shows "Rejected"

Ideally the Candidate should get the status as Rejected but its not so and showing as In Process

Your help is appreciated,

Regards,

Mailr

Hi Mailr,

Are you sure the status of the application is Rejected? Or is the candidate assigned to the rejected process? Maybe you should double check the application status in table HRP5132.

Hi Julien,

I have checked the table HRP5132 and the APPL_STATUS shows "1", but if the HR admin checks it its showing as Rejected. Any thing else i could check?

Hi,

What does this tell you? Status 1 means In process, so what the candidate is seeing is OK. I can see 2 possibilities:

  • either there's a problem in the recruiter view
  • or you're looking at the wrong place for the status

Where are you seeing that the application is rejected? In the candidate profile? In the candidate shortlist of a requisition? Anywhere else?

If in the candidate shortlist, rejected applications are only shown under the "All" tab (depending on the value of parameter SHOW_PRESEL_STATUS, you will have to check the option "rejected" to see rejected applications).

If in the Assignments tab of the candidate profile as you seem to suggest, then in which column is the status shown as rejected?

Julien

Hi,

In the recruiter assignment screens you always see the candidacy objects. So I guess this object is correctly set to "rejected" in table HRP5133.

The candidate usually sees the application object and that one is stored in HRP5132.

If you have a mis-match of those two objects, follow my last reply from thread http://scn.sap.com/message/13570916.
