You can create a specific posting channel to publish jobs to LinkedIn. This can be done in the standard system.
If you want to import information from LinkedIn during the application process (initiated by the candidate of course), there is no way in standard to do this. However, there are third party candidate portals that allow this (i.e. http://jobs.stib-mivb.be) or the SAP talent community subscription page (http://jobs.sap.com/talentcommunity/subscribe/), which used to have a nice flash site, offered by SAP consulting.

We are only looking to post jobs from the SAP System to the Linked Jobs.
How do you do this in the normal system? Do you need to setup specific communication settings for the system to be able to communicate with the LinkedIn jobs?

In the documentation of this customizing step, you will find more information regarding the implementation of custom posting channels. A public API of linkedin is available and the developer documentation should be clear enough for an experienced developer.
There are alternative candidate interfaces available that integrate with SAP e-recruiting and provide integration with LinkedIn for the candidate profile.
