Hello everyone, we have been working on enabling Learning Activity in the Development Module. This way the EE and Mgr can assign Learning courses to the EE's specific Development Goal. In the Learning Library, there are free courses and courses with a cost that require the manager's approval. We need to find an option for Managers and EEs to get notified when the course assigned has a cost and requires approval.
We tested the learning plan notification automatic process, this allows the system to send emails with the learning updates, courses that are assigned, and course completion due dates. Unfortunately, this solution involved all courses assigned in the Learning module, including the free courses, and even courses that were assigned in an early stage and wouldn’t be taken until later. This caused users to get emails irrespective of completions from the historic assignments, which differs from our scope.
I wanted to see if any other companies are dealing with this same issue and what their workaround is.

@JohannaRebosio, users and approvers should receive approval process related notifications. These notifications along with the Learning Plan should cover the scenario.
