Hi,
Just wondering if someone could clear this up with a quirk of our system.
Usually when terminating employees in SF EC the users are marked as inactive (via a moniker under the username) and their employment status is marked as terminated, the ability to search these employees are removed from the standard search bar, but they can be found when you go into another user's profile and search a name via the search bar under the active profiles name.
What I've noticed is that some employees who have been terminated, is that they do not have the inactive moniker, they are searchable in the standard search bar, but with not show up in the profile search bar unless you select 'Include inactive users'.
How do I stop the terminated user being search able in the standard search bar and give the inactive moniker below the username.

Thanks
Tom

The inactive thing is pushed with the so called HRIS sync (happening in the background). If an employee is terminated at a future date, the person won't have the inactive moniker yet (the HRIS normally applies that at night of the day that the person becomes inactive).
Via Employee Export you can get the file with those active and inactive and you can change it there + reimport, but normally it's just a matter of waiting for the HRIS sync / day of termination. It could also be that a termination event reason has an incorrect status (hence not causing inactive to be applied) or that something is just wrong in the employee's info / the employee-status picklist. That requires further investigation of the case at hand.
There is a setting that allows you to search for inactive employees via the regular search bar at all times as well just as an FYI (then you won't be restricted to going to the employee profile etc.).
