Inactivate Ext Users are being assigned to a Course

Hi Experts,

Good day! I have External Users in LMS who were deactivated in LMS manually. Before deactivation they were assigned to the Course that is associated to a Curricula.

Then we revised the Item in the Curricula. So during revision: Update User Learning Plan is set to YES.

Question, is it normal behavior when user were already deactivated in LMS will still be assigned to a Curricula after revision? Please advise.

Hi Sally, manual deactivation does not clear the learning plan/assignments from the users so any changes to items, content, etc. will impact any users that has those assigned. When a user is made active but also assigned something, there is no job that would then check for delta changes since they were made inactive. Technically that is why if something is assigned via assignment profile and they are made inactive, the assignment profile will no longer associate them to the rules and that will reassign once they are active again if the assignment profile is still active.
