Question to add an intro page to the exercise - I have to add a page macro, not an intro page, correct?
The intro page looks like it’s been designed for something else. When I add a page macro and use my designated template, I can add the title in the menu on right, but it doesn't add it to the page on the presentation.
And - the bigger problem is that this template somehow connects my entire book to another exercise.
Why is it pulling another book into my demo?
Or replacing my demo?
What is the point of inserting a book page if I cannot pull it into the demo?
Can someone please tell me a workaround for this? or How to make an actual intro page for the exercise (Demo/Practice Mode)?

See this video for an explanation of the various options for providing a 'start page'.
For your other questions it depends on what you are using as a Start Page, and (more importantly) how your simulations will be accessed. If they will be accessed only from within a Book, you need a 'launch page' for that - but the easiest way to do that (automatically) is to set up a Book Reader Template (unless you want to link to the documents...). If it is linking to "your entire book" then you are doing something wrong with your template set-up.
Also, DO NOT USE A TEMPLATE via a Page macro in your simulation. Use a BOOK PAGE. Not TEMPLATE.
