In Rewards and Recognition, how to hide the Award Value from the Nominator after award approval?

We have a requirement where nomination will be done by Manager, however, the award value should not be shown to Manager once the award is approved. 

When Manager goes to Award History, he is able to view the Award Value (Screenshot 1). 

We have explored the option of hiding the Award Amount from RBP, but that does not allow an Manager/Nominator to even initiate this award. Hence we are looking for suggestions/options to:

1. Hide the Award Value from the Awards History Screen for Manager/Nominator (Screenshot 1)

2. Hide the Award History screen from Reward and Recognition Excellence (Screenshot 2)

Any thoughts/recommendations are appreciated.

Hi @MeghaSadhotra,
I have taken a look and see that we can hide the award amount through using field permissions on the spotAward object within the assigned role-based permission.

For example, the below role is assigned to the Manager Charles. Through award history for the team, this not visible per the permission.

If the nominator is on a different RBP and we dont have the field level permission on, we can see the amount.

When creating an award through the program we are still able to select an award amount and also note, if you are using certificates the value will show in the history view within the pdf via the token.

Is this something you've tried? If you have attempted to hide the physical column on the spotAward object, then this will lead to error's within the UI as this call is part of the main API query to retrieve award information.

Hi @AndresCarter, this is exactly what I tried. But since nominator should not view the approved award, when I control the field level permission for Award amount  in Nominator role, the nominator loses out the permission to even initiate the award. A

Okay thanks for confirming and I can see this is what happens. Since we need the award amount to make the award, with the nominator not being able to see it with permissions it will cause this error. It is similar error when attempting to hide the physical column on the object. I have not come across the business case of the amount needing to be hidden from the manager in general and when they are the nominator as well.

Why are we wanting to do this as the awards are only visible to nominees, nominators, and managers once approved.

The only why to potentially achieve this would be managing different permission roles for the manager, but this is going to conflict with each other as the role’s for a nominator form part of seeing the award in the history.
