Hello Readers,

I'm working on project for migration of CSB to UDM (FO Location to GO Job Location) and I would really like to know what will be the impact on third party job boards after this migration. How can we manage the impact? How job boards will able to continue the job posting after this migration. Looking forward for best practice and approach to handle the impact and implementation.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Akanksha622

Yes we had deployed the UDM back in June.

For the third-party job feeds there is some work there that needed to be done to XML feeds if you are allowing for multi-location posting with the UDM update. The XML will need to be updated to pass those values to the vendors as you will need to alert your job vendors of this change as well so they can prepare on their end.

We have 2 XMLs that needed to be updated, our LinkedIN and Direct Employers to accomodate multi-location posting. The Indeed XML was not update as they do not support multi-location postings so that one was unchanged.

I hope this helps please let me know if you have any further questions.

Have a great day!

The new Job Location field is primarily to support the career site builder features when having the UDM in place. If the new job location field is going to be the new default for your recruiters to use for postings yes you will need to update all your XML to include that and notify your vendors of that mapping update.
