if not allowed to see pay components, changing FTE on change business rule is not affecting them

Hi.

The client has Managers in different locations that are able to change the FTE of the employees, and the FTE is associated with the pay components so if it is changed, i have business ruless changing them on change. The problem is that the client company does not want these Managers to see the pay components, and i am experiencing that if they cannot see the pay components, the onchange rules are not taking effect, and on top of that, these rules make use of the pay comp group and testing it i realized that if they don´t see the pay components, the pay comp group does not sum up them into this group.

So now i found myself without ideas, just to make sure there is nothing else to do,

is it possible to accomplish that a manager makes an fte change without being able to see the pay components of the employee but make these pay components to be affected by the business rules calculations On change anyway?

Thanks

Hi ilegali

I think this is an EC topic only and not Compensation.

When the FTE changes in Job Info it should indeed be reflected either manually or through a business rule in the actual value of the paycomponent itself since SuccessFactors is the system of record that uses actual values sent to payroll.

Additionally we have ways to have the FTE impact the calculation of the Compa Ratio directly in the Compensation module, please see this blog: https://blogs.sap.com/2021/06/17/fte-and-proration-examples-in-compensation/.

All the best
