Hungarian Windows Text to Speech Package functionality in SAP Enable Now isn't working

Hello does anyone have a suggestion how to resolve the text to speech recognition problem for the Dutch and Hungarian languages in Enable Now?

“Voice over issue Dutch/Hungarian” –

  • We installed Windows Voice Packages for all the five languages in which Training is required to be translated – Simplified Chinese, Korean, German, Dutch and Hungarian
  • Since SAP Enable Now picks up Windows Voice Packages automatically while running text-to-speech, it has picked up Simplified Chinese, Korean and German and we are able to run text-to-speech functionality for all these three languages from within Enable Now
  • The issue: SAP EnableNow is not recognizing the Dutch and Hungarian voice packages at all. We are not able to generate the voice overs from the text-to-speech functionality on the Hungarian and Dutch courses. (Screenshot Attached)
  • The ask: We need to understand why Enable Now is not recognizing the two voice packages and if anyone has a solution. Thank you.

The settings for the language have to be made at another point in the system.

1. Click on the Windows Logo, then select "Run"

2. Type "Control"

3. Goto "Speech Recognition"

4. On the left side click on "Text-to-Speech"

5. On the tab "Text-to-Speech" select your language and then click OK.

Hi Jacqueline,

I'm not certain because I'm no language expert but when I try to install the Dutch and Hungarian languages on my laptop I'm not given the option of being able to install the corresponding voices, like I can with other languages like German. When I look at the language options for the Dutch and Hungarian languages I see the following and their is no ability to install a Dutch voice pack:

This is different to other languages like German where I can install a voice pack:

So, given this, I suspect that you will need to use the interface to Google Text to Speech, rather than the Windows voices. This will require a Google Text to Speech account, which has a small charge, but I'm not certain that it is possible with the Windows voices.

Regards
Shane
