Hello!

After an ILT course was completed, attendance was updated and submitted for learning history. When attendance was updated, someone was marked as a no show in error. I would like to go back to adjust their completion status to complete, but when I go back to update attendance and submit to learning history with a different status, I receive the error below.

How can I change an ILT completion status for a learner after attendance has already been added to learning history?

Hello @margaretstraub , are you using Manage User Learning > Edit Learning History when updating the class completion of user? For the screenshot of the error, i found this kba 2300681 - Add Learning History Not Working or Duplicate Learning Events Error . please feel free to check if it works.

Thank you!

@SF-Sheen No, I was updating attendance at the class level under Agenda > Mark Attendance. Then using the "Action" drop down at the class level to "Add to Learning History".

@margaretstraub , since you mentioned that the attendance was initially updated and user was marked as No Show, can you try using Edit Learning History instead of the Add to Learning History to avoid duplicates. Please let me know if it works. Have you also tried the resolution steps in KB article?

@SF-Sheen It worked using the Edit Learning History feature. I thought I would be able to go back to the original class where attendance was marked to update it, but going back through with the Edit Learning History is an easy fix.
