How to map the custom MDF Data Collection object to Employee Central's custom MDF object

Hi Team,

I am implementing ONB 2.0 for my client and I have a question about the custom object that we create for Onboarding's Additional Data Collection step.

I have observed that we cannot reuse the object created in EC which is linked to people profile so that it is visible on employee's profile. Now when I create custom object for ONB which is similar to the one in EC but only external code in ONB 2.0 is of type Autonumber in EC it is of type EmployeeCode.

Then how do I map the values entered by the candidate in EC once the candidate becomes an employee?

Note:- I have discussed with SAP they are saying to built custom integration to perform this action but that involves money as building this custom integration is not part of the contract.
