How to make "Effective date" field of the Benefit Enrollment Editable

Hi Experts,

I am working on EC Global benefits Enrollment/ Claim functionalities and noticed that the Effective From date field is greyed out and we could control the date field only via business rule.

Is it possible for us to make the Effective date field an editable field?

I have made the field editable using Config UI, but still, the field is non-editable.
