Hi everyone,
Is it possible to implement Onboarding 2.0 without Employee Central?
I've read that "EC is no longer a prerequisite for Onboarding 2.0, but a miniature version of the EC system must be set up".
How can we make such a setup?
Thanks in advance,
João

Yes, this is possible. Please check out the implementation guide on this topic: Integration of External HRIS with SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding (2.0)

Hi Shelly! Please provide more details. The guide says that Employee Central must be enabled with the main switch Employee Central V2:
"While Employee Central is enabled, it does not entitle you or grant you the ability to use Employee Central outside of Onboarding."
If EC is enabled, then User data are synchronized from EC tables, which means that the client needs to configure: EC as the "Minimaster", a bunch of PA_SE_IN integrations from ERP to EC, and HRIS Sync from EC to User. Am I right?
Hi Joao,
Yes, we can implement ONB 2.0 without EC

Hi,
Technically, Still EC is pre-requisite to enable and configure Mini Master to Implement ONB 2.0.

Can we use custom MDF in Onboarding 2.0 and get data populate from external HRIS using middleware like CPI?

Technically, the so-called EC Minimaster is just a configuration of EC. Technically, EC is enabled with the main switch Employee Central V2. And once EC is configured, the user data is not entered via the Manage User tool anymore but via the Add Employee tool of EC. So from the technical point of view, EC is a prerequisite of Onboarding 2.0.
