We have a request to update teh comments field as soon as an employee raises the resignation. However, we have workflow configured and the object gets locked. Until the request reached the HR ie approx 45 days from the date of resignation, HR cannot update the comments which they would have captured immediately after the employee raises the resignation. They have to wait for that long. In the mean time, if they forget, the comments will not be captured in the system. Hence wanted to know, can we enable a custom field for the HR to enter the comments though the workflow is in progress and it is independent of the workflow. Kindly help and suggest in this matter.
