How to configure Pay ranges in Compensation

I would like to understand how pay ranges are configured based on the attributes because there are many combinations for single Pay range, and how can we configure which one will be picked up.

Hi naveenanehra

Pay Ranges are always based on the Pay Grade standard field + attribute 1 (optional) + attribute 2 (optional) + attribute 3 (optional).

The compensation worksheet will get whatever is in EC Foundation object (Manage Data > Pay Ranges) or in your Pay Range table (under Actions for all plans) based on the values for each employee.

For example if in Plan Setup > Settings the attributes are Country and City and the Pay Range table has the following values :

(PayGrade = P6) / (Country = USA) / (Location = New York) 45k/55k/65k

(PayGrade = P6) / (Country = USA) / (Location = San Francisco) 43k/53k/63k

Then the compensation worksheet will look at the combination of all 3 values for each employee and return the Pay Range accordingly.

There could also be a raw like this :

(PayGrade = P6) / (Country = USA) / 35k/45k/65k

and in that case if a user doesn't have a location entered then this Pay Range will be picked up.

What if we have more than 1 possible combination which I encountered before, and different Min/Mid/Max combination, will it pick the first combination occuring.
