How to build apply link on custom career site

Is there a best practice? We can see the format of the apply job link on SAP as /talentcommunity/apply/<job_id>/?locale=en_US. We can replicate this format URL but when we click on it from our site, it just goes to the jobs homepage. Is there a reason that happens and is there is a way for us to dynamically build an apply link with the Job ID that we can link to externally? Or is there a way to get an SAP link that sends applicants straight to the apply form for a particular job?

No Problem!

We used https://wpjobmanager.com/ on our wordpress sites; however, if you are importing the roles into your CMS then you should have the apply URL from the XML feed. From there you could apply the URL to the Apply Button and that provides the redirect to SAP; however, I am not a webflow expert and if it was Wordpress I could provide you more guidence.

Brilliant! Thank you. Would you be able to provide instruction on how to get the apply URL from the XML feed? Sorry to bother you with follow ups - you're really saving us here. Thank you so much! The agency advised they don't see an apply URL in the XML so i am wondering if perhaps we need to adjust something.

Hey Bryce,

I’ve worked with some of our subsidiaries to trigger this action; however, what platform are you building your custom careers site on? Allstate careers is an example of the behavior where the user is coming from their Wordpress instance and being directed to SAP to complete the application process. I’m not sure if that is what you’re looking for, if so, please let me know.

Thanks,

Hi Matt, really appreciate you commenting and any advice you have! We are building on webflow as our CMS but it should be the same process as Wordpress i believe. The functionality you mentioned is exactly what we are hoping to produce. The agency we're using has been able to build the job postings on the custom site successfully using the SAP APIs but can't figure out how to have the apply button on the custom site redirect to the SAP application form for that particular job.
