Hello,
we have the following problem.
For some employees in the variable pay programm a proration takes place because their employee history record start date (thus their assingment start date) is way after the bonus template start date.
But actually that does not work for us. The employee start date should be the same as the bonus template start date, like it is for other employees, too.
First, can somebody explain why some people have an employee history record start date after the bonus template start date (When a random job information change took place) and some employee history record start dates are the same as the bonus plan start date.
Secondly, can somebody please also tell us what system adjustments we need to do, so the employee history file uses the correct start dates for each employee.
We would very much appreciate
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi leonie.ambacher ,
were you able to solve the issue with dates outside of bonus start date?
Because the same started occurring for our customer after we transfer the form into Production environment. And it is occurring just for one specific template. In Test environment it was working fine for this template and we didn't change anything in production.
Thank you for sharing

Hi leonie.ambacher
Please watch the video below, not because it will solve your issue but because I provided tons of explanations on the employee history with EC integration as side comments :
https://blogs.sap.com/2022/01/25/removing-assignment-proration-in-variable-pay/
Otherwise I am aligned with Phil : it must be something in one of the eligibility rules in your system that is creating this issue OR the employee was hired in EC during the program dates which can also create this issue.
I am happy to connect with you to help you troubleshoot it, please send me a private message with your contact details on the partner community (if you are an implementation partner) or on the customer community if you are a system administrator.
The call would have to be in Pacific Time hours 9am to 6pm.
All the best,
Xavier

Yes. I already did that and checked for the employees with the delayed employee history start date if they fullfill the criteria of the eligibility rule for the time of the missing employee record. (i thought that's what i Need to check, please correct me if i am wrong). And the elgibility rule criteria was given for that specific employees from Bonus template start date on.
You are correct. Try simplifying the eligibility rule and see if that helps. Also see that the mapped fields in the Employee History have analogues in EC - I have seen cases where the data in EC didn't exist (as in the Job Info record didn't exist) and that stopped the extract process.
Thanks a lot for your answer.
Let me give you some more details.
So our Bonus plan start date is 1/1/21 and 12/31/21.
Our Eligibility rules is based on the employee Status (Active), Bonus plan (employees need to be assigned to one Bonus plan) and the Home/host-Information in the Job Information section (not equal to Home - On Assignment)
For one of the ermployees, affected by the wrong proration, all those Information was given.
Employee was hire 10 years ago (thus status was active)
Bonus plan have been assigned to them on the 1/1/21,
Home/host Information is empty (thus not equal to Home - On assignment)
So i think the Bonus start date should be 1/1/21.
But for this specific employee the employee history start date is the 3/1/21. On that date there was a Supervisor Change.
Are you using EC integration for the Employee History or are you uploading the history from an external source?
