How fast we can built the first "lean" prototype of EREC? (606)

Dear Colleagues,

we like to make the EREC implementation with the support of ASAP 8 Agile methodology - it means built the lean prototype which will give us the possibility to test end-to-end process (including job board connection on the beginning and hiring on the end). Many of components can be limited at this moment - like dictionaries to the fields etc.

Can somebody advice what is the reasonable time we can asset to the prototype creation with assumption we have 1 consultant full-time and lean blueprint is ready.

Regards

Dear Waldemar,

actually there is no answer possible. At least not from my side.
Setting up an SAP Standard system can be done in several days.

A system which is just adopted via customizing can be created in a short time.

The effort and duration is dependend on the number of custom developments and enhancements.

Custom implementation projects can vary between 50 and a few hundred days as normally you will need custom developments.

Best regards

Sebastian

Dear Sebastian,

thank you for answer. As for today we assume the first prototype will be completely based on SAP Standard and the configuration.

Actually we see short list of custom development possible, but we like first to check the standard possibilities.

So may I assume that for defined in this way prototype (SAP standard and configuration only)  1 month should be sufficient?

Best Regards

Dear Sebastian,

we have now the DEV ERECRUIT by basis into the whole system landscape. I like asap to make any presentation of some standard functionality to the key users. What will you recommend as the simplest to prepare but giving the most impression?

Cheers

Hi,

Hope you have read that SAP has e-Recruitment RDS solution too.

http://scn.sap.com/community/rapid-deployment/blog/2012/12/04/learn-about-sap-e-recruiting-rapid-dep...

this could be the quickest standard solution delivered.

Ok i know about RDS -  so you mean if we make the settings described in RDS we can use this as working end-to-end demo? What is your estimation of time needed to make this since the landscape is complete and integrated.

Hi,

Per the standard functionality to be implemented in a E-Recruitment RDS solution is 40% lesser than the actual e-Recruitment as the Blueprinting phase has been removed and the configuration, testing, Cutover and Go-live form the phases of the project.

If the landscape is complete and integrated, example -if your have estimated 10 months for e-recruitment end to end, then in RDS you could complete the project in 6 months.
