We have a compliance-related course that our employees must complete on a yearly basis. The initial due date is within 15 days of their hire date, and after that it is due 365 days after their last completion date.
We're having a few challenges with the way SF works with this, and I'd like to know how others handle this type of situation. I know we're not the only ones who need this, and so far every enhancement suggestion in this area has been denied, regardless of number of votes.
1) The course doesn't re-appear on their Learning Plan until 30 days before it is due. There is no notification sent when it does appear, and our employees don't go into their learning plans every day. They might, if they receive a notification.
2) Our Security team would like the notifications to start at 30 days, and then at 14, 7, 3, and 1 day before the due date. At 7 days before the due date, we'd like to cc the manager, and at 1 day before the due date, we'd like to cc the manager and C-suite executive. Once it is overdue, notifications at 1, 7, 14, and 28 days overdue.
To implement this will require an extremely manual process. I'd like some ideas so that I can understand what type of compromise we can come back with to minimize the manual process and still get the notifications out that we need.
So... what are you all doing in similar situations?
Thanks in advance!
