How can I assign a class in bulk using an upload in SAP SF Learning?

I am trying to assign a big group of users to a specific class using an template or similar. I am aware that I can manually add users to a class.

I was only able to find options to bulk assign Items/Programms and Curricula. Is there another option that I am missing?

Thanks for your help

There are two methods of bulk registering users into a class

1) Import Data tool: Found under System Administration --> System Management Tools --> Import Data. This tool uses an excel template that you can populate, an upload to do a lot of bulk thing. Registrations is one of them.

2) Registration Connector: This one is mostly used to to extremely large volumes of registration, and mostly during an initial implementation. It is more complicated to use, and the format for the import takes some time to learn. None the less, if you have sufficient admin rights, this could be an option as well

Overall, I would recommend using #1 if this is for small number of people and/or a daily/weekly type task.

#2 is more of a data migration, automation type route to take.

Hope that helps!

thanks

Hi Chris,

thank you for getting back to me. I knew about the Import Data tool but I could not figure out which template to use for the classes. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I used the "EntityTemplate_Registrations" and added the class ID to the "Scheduled Offering ID" column. Using the Registration Status ID "ENROLL" I was successful in assigning the class in bulk.

Apreciate your help.

Thanks
