H1 2022 misunderstanding used word

Hi,

I'm doing research on the actual release and I, facing some misunderstanding as I'm doing it for 1st time.

It's regarding some definitions of the labels used.

1-I would like to know the difference between Admin Opt-in and Admin Opt-out in Configuration Type for the new Release H1 2022.

2-What it means about Action=Info Only and Configuration Type=Admin Opt-in or Admin Opt-Out

Hi Amel,

Admin Opt-In : This release is not activated by default. If user wants this feature, it should be activated in the system as instructed by SAP.

Admin Opt-Out: A feature which can be deactivated by the admin. This feature might have been activated by default as a part of improvement by SAP or (sometimes) is an old feature and is no longer required because there are new improved features performing same task, then admin has the option to deactivate it in the instance.

Hi Amel:

“Admin Opt-In” means customers can opt to receive the feature by taking the steps outlined in the detailed documentation and this is not available to you unless you opt-in. “Admin Opt-Out” means you’ll need to follow similar steps to not receive the feature or in other words unless you switch off feature it will stay. “Provisioning Opt-In” means you will need a partner and/or SAP to follow the steps in the detailed documentation to turn the feature on because only they have access to provisioning to do so. "Info Only" is more of a universal push and you need to take necessary actions to assess impact if any based on your existing config and adjust action plan. Hope this helps.
