Thank you Susan for your response. Yes, all steps have a duration. I may have solved the issue. I duplicated the simulation and was able to generate a video with no problems. The question still remains, why am I not able to generate the initial video?

You will want to check your project to make sure that all steps have a duration - this is usually found on the interaction macro.
If you have an explanation bubble, the default duration is infinity (-1 ). This will cause a hang on loading when generating a video. Change this to an appropriate positive number. The number is in seconds. (for example, by default the duration on a mouse click is 4 seconds - with an explanation bubble, the number you would choose would depend on how much text is in the bubble. You might have to experiment to find a reasonable value.)
