Hey Experts,
I am looking for some information regarding Standalone Scenaerio in E-recruitement .
I just need to know weather SAP Netweawer Portal should be connected to HCM system or E-rec system or both system ?
What approach should be best to use ?
Regards,
Pran

Hello Pran,
in my opinion this is not really a matter of choice. In case of a standalone eRecruiting landscape you have to connect the portal to both the HCM system and the eRecruiting system. The connection to the HCM system will be necessary for any ESS and MSS already in place independent from eRec but also the MSS part of eRec is routed via the HCM System. The connection to the eRecruiting system is necessary for the access of recruiters, recruiting administrators and candidates.
If you have also split the eRec system into an backend and a frontend server, the portal needs to be connected to the backend server only as the external candidates who access the landscape via the frontend system do not need the portal.
Kind regards
Roman

Hi Roman,
Thanx for the valuable input.
Actually scenario is, We have installed different server for External Candidates.
1. How Candidates will be able to search Jobs as Portal is connected to HCM system only and for external candidates we are using different server???
2. How Data of External Candidates appear at portal which is connected with HCM for Recruiter and other SEARCHES.
As per the Process Recruiter will publish job posting for External Candidates at Portal and then via trex Jobs will appear for External candidates.
This means that we have to connect trex server with Frontend External Candidates Server as well.
But the jobs which recruiter has published should be saved in tables of HCM System.
So , there must be need to transfer that dataa from HCM to EREC Server as well??
Please provide some light on this as i am confused, so that this scenario can be worked .
Regards,
Pran
