Extract Total from a custom field in Business Goal Section | Variable Pay

Dear Community,

Based on our clients requirements, we created a custom column in the Business Goal section.

This Column = Payout Percent * Target Amount, since this is how the client calculates the Bonuses.

We need though to have the Total of this calculation in the Entry section.

According to this KBA 2084135 - Managing Data, Custom Calculations / Formulas and Functions - CMP & VRP - SAP for Me

this is not feasible.

Do you have any work arounds?

If you are familiar with custom columns at the Business Goal level, you should also be familiar with how to Aggregate them to higher levels. If you need the sum of the field at the Entry level, you need to:

1. Create a custom column at the Business Section level and set it to be an aggregate of the custom column at the Business Goal level
2. Create a custom column at the Assignment level and set it to be an aggregate of the custom column created in step 1
3. Create a custom column at the Entry level and set it to be an aggregate of the custom column created in step 2
