Hi experts,
I have a question concerning the email address used as the login userid for external candidates in our E-Recruiting system.
When a external user first creates an external application or profile, they are required to enter in their email address, which in turn is now their login userid. This email address, is then used as an alias when the actual userid is created in our backed system, as seen in SU01.
So for whatever reason, the external user logs into E-Recruiting and changes their email address. However, this does not change the alias in SU01, thus if the external user logs out, the next time they log back into our system, they must remember the initial email address they first registered with.
Why is this? Is there a BADi or something out there that will allow the user to change their email address and then the system update their alias so they can begin logging in using the new email address as their login userid?

Garrett Meredith

Hello Garrett,
answer here might be disappointing. This is simply no function in the standard system. Only some scenarios of the candidate registration are making the email to the login. E.g. if yo do not use the email verification option the system just gives random user Ids instead of using the email. So there is no link from the email mantenance to update the user.
Kind regards
Roman

Hi Garrett,
The alias change is never done? So also not in backend (SU01, USR02 table and so on)?
