Exporting a simulation as a mp4

Hi,

A colleague in my team tries to export a simulation to mp4.

This procedure works fine on my laptop, but not on his own laptop, despite we have the same model and the same technical configuration.

When he's clicking on "generate video", the progress bar remains stucked (but the window is responsive, it is possible to cancel the export).

On his laptop, the only way we have succeed to export a simulation as an mp4, is to use "User defined" presets and to deselect the option "Use Screen Capture". In this case, the export works but it is very slow:

On my laptop everything is working fine and I don't reproduce the issue. What could be the reason and how to fix it ?

Hi Emmanuel,

Sorry, I don't have an answer for this issue but it is relatively common.  I suspect that it is something to do with Microsoft Codec used to generate the video file but I'm not certain.  I've checked the knowledge base and there is nothing on this topic so I recommend that you raise a support ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO and get support involved.
