First thing I did already. The second I guessed but didn't know how to do it. Thanks for the article.
3rd thing was also what I was thinking of as a last resort.
I think SAP could make some improvement here. That's why I put the same question in the JAM Group where they asked about aour opinion for the Excel download.

First thing to try is synchronize and then expand the entire structure (you want to export) before you download it - that will make sure SAP Enable Now has all the info it needs, and shouldn't need to keep accessing the server (I'm guessing).
If that doesn't work, try increasing the time-out limits as explained in SAP note 2390539.
If that doesn't help either, then you may have to download it in chunks and then combine the chunks in Excel (just watch out for differing levels of nesting).
