We have event derivation turned on and rules set to grab the correct event when promotions are set in compensation worksheet. We also have other normal rules set to CHANGE the event reason if the event is wrong. But the rules NEVER actually change the event on screen.
The compensation XML is configured by standard to send merit for reccurrent pay like merit or promotion. But the rules defined, should change it to promotion when it is the case and this is not happening. It is like the system does not allow the event reason SENT via xml to be changed via rule.
Fun fact... when tracing the rules execution, system says the the event WAS changed to to correct one, but this is not what really happens.
Any light on this, PLEASE?
Normally in the Event Derivation rules there needs to be an exception made for the event reason being sent from the compensation publish. If not, the ED rules will override that set by the comp XML.
If that isn't it, I am not sure I understand the question.
