Hi
I would like to hear from everyone on their feedback. How many process templates do you have in your e-recruitment system. As for the company I worked for, we have about less than 10 process templates.
I am a bit curious how many process templates does your company have? or how many process templates have you created for your clients?

Hi Ridzuan,
in my projects the customer usually uses one process template per target group. So we have anywhere between 3 and 20 process templates depending on how many target groups the customer integrates into the system and how detailed the definition is. In rare cases there was also some additional templates for single companies or branches.
As there are so few templates I usually move the process template definition from the recruiter page to the recruiting administrator page as not every recruiter shall define its own templates.
Kind regards
Roman

Roman,
From your comments see an important point.
You moved PROCESS TEMPLATE DEFINITION FROM RECRUITER PAGE TO RECRUITING ADMIN. PAGE - how did you achieve this. One of our clients asked for this (of course not the same service). Also how can we add the recruiter services in manager's(MSS) pages.

Bharat
Hello Bharat,
before EHP 4 you could achieve this by changing the BSP start page configuration. With EHP 4 and higher you have to copy the sap delivered portal roles for recruiter and recruiting administrator. In the copy of the recruiter role you delete the process template maintenance iView from the role and you add it to the recruiting administrator role.
For the manager self service things are a bit more difficult as the mss functions are processed on the HR Core server and not on the eRec server. The functions get the data internally by calling an RFC connection from the HR core to the eRec backend. This might lead to some issues in authorization and portal role management.
Kind regards

Roman,
That's good to know that we deal with iviews. Though I have not done it myself on portal I can assume that we need to assign relevant desired services to the iviews. If this concept is correct, then we can also add custom services to the recruiter/recruiting admin. roles.
Coming to MSS, there are several RFCs which pull data from HCM. For sure there have to be iviews built up for hiring manager in MSS also. If so do we need to replace our custom function modules in iviews. Is that all! how does role get into picture - I think iviews are assinged to roles - right!
Please provide your suggestions.
Regards,
Bharat
