Hello Recruiting-Experts,
Does anyone of you has experience with physical candidate identification, e.g. for tests that are taken on premise, to verify that the person that presents itself is really the person that applied and would eventually be hired?
The customer I am working for at the moment checks thousands of candidates in tests and interviews. They are asking for a way to make as sure as possible that the person that shows up for a test is really the candidate.
I proposed passport identification but they say that after having looked at about a hundred pictures, everybody looks more or less the same. And let's be honest: who really looks like the picture on their passport? 😉
In the country where the customer is situated, it seems to happen a lot that e.g. the brother or a friend of a candidate shows up for a test instead of the actual candidate.
Since some of the positions are highly critical concerning safety, they are desperate to find a way to handle this.
This is why they are complaining that the candidate profile of external candidates does not display the candidate picture.
Would you know of a SAP-based or not SAP-based way to handle this requirement?
Thanks for your help and best regards,
Carla

Hi Carla,
You could just use the attachment functionality to ensure that the candidate uploads a picture. So create a new attachment type and make the attachment field mandatory and also change the text under the attachment step to advise the candidates that it is required to upload a photo.
It is not a pretty solution but it keeps within standard SAP.
Other option could be to create a new WDA application that supports upload of a picture etc .and include that in your roadmap. But thats not a small development.
Good luck.
Cheers
Christian
