EREC E-Recruiting and SAP ECC running on an instance

Hi all,

I wasn't there when they made the installation of E-Recruiting in the company, so I do not know if the software is running on an instance, do you know how to identify whether SAP E-Recruiting is installed with SAP ECC components in the same instance?

Thanks,

Daoyne

Dear Dayone,

Please check note 997181 that contains 2 attachments : one for one instance scenario and the second for the two instances scenario. Also please check in the system status in the component information if you have the module ERECRUIT with all ECC components.

However, if you want to run SAP E-Recruiting Stand-Alone in a complete system with all ERP software components installed but not used (except of ERECRUIT), you may have a look into note 1147882. It mainly describes that you must change the result of the class constructor of class CL_HRRCF_SYSTEM_CHECK by implementing the implicit enhancement option at the end of the method. Simply overwrite the class attribute #IS_STANDALONE# with the value #true#.

Hope it helps,

Kind Regards

Christine

Hello Daoyne,

Quickest way: go to transaction SPRO (IMG) and check the menu list you get there. If you have only 4,5 it is a stand-alone system and otherwise, it is an integrated one.

This is just half the truth. There are two standalone installation scenarios supported by SAP, I2A and I2B. I2A is a WebAs ABAP server with only the ERECRUIT component installed. You can identify such a installation as described above or by checking the installed components via Menu -> Syste -> Status -> component information. If you identify the I2A scenario it is a standalone installation for sure.

The I2B scenario is a full ERP installation where only e-Recruiting application is activly used standalone. In this case checking the number of IMG nodes or installed components won't help you as it is the same like for the integrated installation scenario. Now it depends on the readiness of the system. If the e-rec application is fully set up you could check if there is an ALE, you could check the system parameters in IMG what is the RFC connection to HR backend or you could check if the note Christine mentioned above has been applied. Unfortunately if you do not know if everything has been set up already this is unsure. So you would have to check if there is PA data or you could check SE09 if there are tons of transport requests from the previous HR core implementation.

But easiest way would be of course to simply ask your HR IT or basis guys

Best regards
