Hi All,
We have a requirement in eRecruiting as below:
When we are performing some activities as a Recruiter in system there should be another activity processed automatically.
Say for example when I am performing the activity 'Letter u2013 Rejected Basic' then system should process another activity 'Status Change u2013 Rejected-Min Quals Not Met' automatically.
I hope this can be achieved by doing coupling of activities in the following path
e-Recruiting->Applicant Tracking->Activities->Link Activity Types with Referencing Activity Types
But the problem here is we are not finding all the activities list where we can couple it with another activity.
Please let us know whether we are following the correct navigation path and what can be the next procedure to achieve this.
Thanks.

Hello Pooja,
The activities you couple depends on your business requirements - it just has to follow the technical prerequisites mentioned.

Hi,
in addition what Nicole already said.
Coupling activities is only possible for activity categories qualifying event, status change and questionnaire. All of them are coupled with ativity types of category invitation as mentioned by Nicole. As a recruiter you always create the qualifying event, status change or questionnaire and the invitation is created automatically in the same step. Other scenarios like creating a result tracking questionnaire when creating a qualifying event need background processing like a workflow which links to the activity create event.
Next to the assignement to the same process it is also needed to assign the activity types to the same obejct type. So if you assign the status change activity type to the candidacy and the rejection letter (category invitation) must be assigned to the candidacy, too.
If you still do not see the activity types you expect in the coupling IMG node, restart SPRO. There seems to be a caching bug that sometimes prevents newly created activity types from being displayed directly in the coupling customizing. Restarting the transaction usually helps here.
Kind Regards
Roman

Hi Roman/Nicole,
Thanks for the reply.
We need to couple the following activities
Letter - Rejected (Basic) --> Status Change u2013 Rejected-Min Quals Not Met
Letter u2013 Rejected (Post Telephone Screen) --> Status Change u2013 Rejected
Letter u2013 Rejected (Post Interview) --> Status Change u2013 Rejected
Please let me know whether we can perform coupling of activities for the above mentioned one's??
Thanks,
Hello Pooja,
The coupled activity can only be of type 'invitation' and must be assigned already to the same process you want to create the coupled activity in (see documentation of the IMG step). That's the reason why you don't see all activities displayed in the search help.

Nicole
