EREC authorizations in SAP Portal

Hi all,

we are quite new to SAP EP, but would like to use it for our recruiters to access SAP E-Recruiting webdynpros.

When I create a UID in EP and assign only role "Recruiter EHP5" (and groups Authenticated users, Everyone), the system returns the error message below when the user tries the open a requistion or other objects (e.g. the user navigates to Recruiter EHP5 > Overview > Search > click on a requisiton in the search results).

Error message text: "There is no iView available for system "SAP_ERP_TalentManagement": object "requisition". For more information, contact your administrator."

When I add more rights to the UID (e.g. group Administrators), the message does not appear. Which specific rights / roles / groups etc. do I have to add to solve the issue?

Thank you in advance for any hint.

Best regards,

Michael

It is an OBN issue. I think you need to add requisition page into Business Object.

1. Log in to Portal.

2. Click on Content Administrator tab --> Portal Content --> Business Object (Folder) --> ERP Common Part (Folder) --> Human Resources --> E-Recruiting --> Requisition

3. Find operation Display and add display requisition page in your role into Display operation.

Try to open it again, your problem should be solved.

Hope it help

Hi Michael

I'd imagine there is most likely an accompanying SLG1 error as well if you look to those logs - but please take a look at this wiki which covers alot of points regarding roles and service/reference users etc.

hope its useful

Hi Sally,

thank you for the link to the interesting wiki, Unfortunately, I could not find a solution for my problem. There are no accompanying entries in SLG1, neither in the logs of the portal. It seems portal role "Recruiter EHP5" is not sufficient.

Hi Michael,

It should be. Which role have you assigned exactly?

Hi Nicole,

when I assign the following role only, I get the error message described above:

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.erp.recruiter.bp_folder/

com.sap.pct.erp.recruiter.15.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.recruiter.15.roles/

com.sap.pct.erp.recruiter.15.recruiter

When I add more rights (e.g. group Administrators), the application works fine and the error message does not appear.

Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Okay. So if you call any service you get the error eg. when creating a requisition or opening the recruiter dashboard? I am asking because it isn't quite clear for me which service you call here: "Recruiter EHP5 > Overview > Search".

Hi Nicole,

below is an example for the error message.

When you search for a specific term, a "pop-up" opens with the search results. When I click on any requisition (or candidate) in the search results, the error occurs. We have the same issue, when we try to open e.g a requistion from the dashboard.

Hi Michael,

Were you able to solve this issue? We are facing exactly same issue.

Hi Naya,

It looks like it is a OBN (object based navigation) issue. I think if you search on the error and OBN you will get lots of points of how to check your OBN object "requitsition" to make sure it works.

Hi Navya,

the issue was caused by missing permissions.

In our case, we set READ and END USER permissions to the following folders:

1. In the Portal Content > Content provided by SAP > Specialist > Recruiter

2. One custom folder used to store internally developed stuff

You can set this on individual user level or by providing the access to a common role like 'EVERYBODY'.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Michael
