Enhanced Permission Control for Searching Positions by Roles and Families

Hello,

Can some one suggest me on the below statement.
Enhanced Permission Control for Searching Positions by Roles and Families

Currently Succession managers have permission to view position job role , but this statement is referring that we can browse job roles from talent card . I didn't find any option on that. Is that statement related to Talent card or CDP?

Please suggest.

Hi Sreedhar

When you nominate a successor to a position and locate the position by browsing job roles, you can only view the job families and roles to which you have the permission.

The permission control applies to the following scenarios:

• When you open a nomination dialogue through the nomination section in Succession Talent Cards.
• When you open a nomination dialogue through the nomination block in People Profile.

We built this feature because a lot of customers were asking for it.

Configuration Requirements

• You've enabled Job Profile Builder.
• Data migration from Job Description Manager to Job Profile Builder is completed.

Role-Based Permission Prerequisites

You have the permission to view the Administrator Manage Job & Skill Profile Visibility Family and the Administrator Manage Job & Skill Profile Visibility Role items. You also need to configure target population accordingly.

What's Changed

In the current version, you can only view the job families and roles to which you have permission when browsing positions in those scenarios.

In the previous version, you can access all the job families and roles regardless of permissions when browsing positions in those scenarios.
