We have several simulations recorded in English which appear in the Spanish Learning Center. The majority of them do not, but for some reason, there are a few which do.
All recordings were created the same way, with English (United States) as the language setting for the simulation and start/end pages for it. The Spanish recordings have roles in Spanish, which you can see in the image below.
I've completely dissected the recording looking for the reason why, but there is nothing different about them compared to the other English recordings which are not showing.
Has anyone ever experienced this? How did you resolve it?
Thx

Hi Lyor,
SAP Companion - including the Learning Center - users the concept of fallback languages to determine what content is displayed. The way this works is that if the fallback language for Spanish is US English, and this is the global default unless you have changed it in your organization, then the Spanish version of content objects appear if they exist. If a Spanish version of a content object does not exist, SAP Companion looks for content in the fallback language and displays that instead. So, the reason that some US English Simulations are appearing is because there is no corresponding Spanish content.
If I start with a US English content object and translate it to Spanish, the fact that it is a duplicate of another content object is captured in the properties of the new object. The Duplication Source field contains the name of the content object that was copied to create the new object.
SAP Companion knows that the US English object was duplicated to create the Spanish version of that object. So, if a user is accessing content in Spanish but SAP Companion finds another object in US English that does not have a corresponding Spanish version of the object, it displays the English object.
Given this, the first place I would look is to see if there are Spanish versions of the content objects for the English objects that are displaying. If there are Spanish versions of the content, check to see if they are published because if they are not, the Spanish version will not display, so perhaps that's why the English versions are displaying. The other thing to check is whether the English content objects that are not being displayed are also published. Cotnent will only appear in the Learning Center if it is published.
Hope this helps to resolve your issue.
Regards
Shane
