End user create content with Desktop Assistant: how to order them and how to see just some?

Hi All,

I have a doubt with Desktop Assistant in SAP Enable Now.

End users can create their own content with Desktop Assistant.

The problem is that if they use this option, they see all the content they have created, not just those related to the application they are using.

Is it possible that in this tab, users only see content related to the application they are using?

Is it possible to order these contents created by the users themselves?

I'd assumed the content of the user recordings is controlled by the same setting as the main content (but I could be wrong...). This is defined in Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings > Desktop Assistant > Desktop Assistant - Content and Behavior > Content Sorting. Options are Explorer Structure, Alphabetical, and Alphabetical per Type. Probably the only useful one for user-created content would be Alphabetical.

User recordings are not SAP Enable Now objects (they aren't even stored in SAP Enable Now), so there is no context captured for them, which means that the DA can't filter them based on the current application (context). To do that, it would need to capture additional information during creation, and then store this somewhere. Feel free to open a Customer Improvement Request, but I think it would require some major development / change in design philosophy.

User recordings are created with a Quick Recording profile, that's why no context at all, plus you can create a document or video only, not sims that could have context info.

Hi Nuria,

I had also a quick chat with our Product Management on this topic, and the they reply that a user has no option to sort created items by creation date or in alphabetical order. In addition its like my colleagues already mentioned the created object have no context information available - so all created items will be displayed in all applications. I would suggest that you will create a feature request in our influence portal.
