I have a customer who is currently using basic authentication (ID and passwords). It seems like we have 2 articles regarding basic authentication’s depreciation timeline.

Which is the correct Emd of maintenance date? June or November?

If the customer experience some difficulties regarding their login after June, will SAP product team take care?

@YukaMizuno, there are two different features being covered, one in each SAP Help Portal entry that was mentioned. One is related to the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite login and the other related to the Learning only users login. Each one has its own end of maintenance date.

@PL1Thank you very much for your reply.
The customer is using LMS only, so which timeline should they follow?
Also, I believe LMS native login had been depreciated already, but if they use basic auth right now, can they follow the LMS user timeline?

The Learning only users end of maintenance is on November 14, 2025, as per that SAP Help Portal page. In the same page, there's the "Learning Native Login Deletion - 2H 2024 - Innovation Alert" post. It confirms the following: "In the 2H 2024 release, native users will not be able to login unless IAS is activated".

@PL1Thank you for your reply.
The customer is Learning Only user, but they log in via BizX because the maintenance for Native login ended in 2022.

In that case, is their log in considered as HCM Suite or Learning Only?

If Learning Only users mean Native Login to LMS, why is the maintenance period longer than BizX? Native Login had been depreciated already so under what kind of support do customers expect during the maintenance period?

If users login via BizX/Platform, they wouldn't be Learning only users. Maybe the maintenance period is longer because of the VSaaS customers.

@PL1 Thank you for your reply. Is this clarification documented somewhere public? How would a customer know the details of the timeline as the help portal description does not specify which module is subjected to the maintenance date?

The SAP Community and SAP Help Portal are accessible by customers and partners. The "Deprecation Details” and “Additional Resources” entries give details of which features are covered by the article.

@PL1 Thank you very much for your reply. Additional Resource has 2 links, one is for the learning and one is for any login. Customers would not know which logins the article is subjected to just by looking at the additional resource. Also the article mentions in the headline that the support ends in June, then the detailed timeline shows end of deployment and end of the maintenance day. The description does not specify what customers expect by those dates. What can customers do to get precise and detailed info?
