Encrypted External ID – LMS

Hello everyone.

From our collaborator template synchronized with the learning module, we have collaborators where the "External ID" field is displayed as encrypted.

Note:  The organizational data has been hidden.

The expected behavior would be as follows: For example,

User ID employee central: 102030

External user ID LMS: 102030 The User Summary Data Audit Report (CSV) shows that the profile information is encrypted when synchronized.

The standard Learning History report displays the information with the User ID field in the same way: 72571E006C364ABC8B29787493C65A97

Could you indicate if there is any parameter that controls this behavior?

@JA-RA, as it stands, the "External ID" value isn't encrypted. That's the ID sent to Learning via the connector and, potentially, via the "PERSON_ID_EXTERNAL" value and mapping. Additional details can be found here: KBA 2390723 and 3517857. About the report, some of them refer to the "External ID", instead of the "Student ID" - KBA 2393167.
